The City of Charlotte is providing notice of the Citys intent to solicit bids for the Charlotte Fire Department (CFD) ¨C Emergency Operations Center Upfit, Bid # BM2019©1834 (the ˇ°Solicitationˇ±). Due to the fact that the Solicitation and associated specifications contain sensitive public security information, the public interest requires special security and confidentiality precautions. All interested vendors will be required to submit documentation, as detailed below, prior to receipt of any solicitation documents. Failure to provide such documentation will result in your firm being excluded from participation in this project.

Project Description:
Project consists of modifications to approximately 3,250 gross square feet in the existing headquarters building of the City of Charlotte Fire Department, a Type IIB construction. The work will include selective demolition of existing finishes as well as limited and selective structural demolition. The work includes limited concrete slabon©grade modifications for new installation of power and data distribution as well as for new connection to an existing sanitary drain line. A new galley kitchen will be constructed with custom casework and typical new appliances. Part of an existing open office area will be converted to storage space. An existing library space will be converted to a conference room with new power and data connections and additional air distribution. An existing ground level open©office space will be upfit as an Emergency Operations Room with additional power and data distribution, new window shades, and integrated Audio/Visual equipment. The 2nd©floor Information Technology room will be expanded to accommodate the installation of a new UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply System) to be installed by others. An adjacent storage room will receive new electrical equipment. Work will include selective roof demolition and modifications for new electrical conduit and a new exhaust fan. The estimated cost of this Project is between $250,000 and $500,000 and contract duration is 90 calendar days from Notice© o©Proceed (NTP)
